Seymour's compliant culinary portal and health app
Always on. Secure by design. Ready to scale.
The Opportunity
The right tech can unlock exciting opportunities in health, sustainability, and personalisation. But caterers who consider new tech solutions need to assess the risk of such platforms going down (interrupting payment processing capabilities and losing sales), being breached (resulting in data loss and trust erosion), and being limited in their roll-out capabilities (limiting clients and client value).
The Solution
The Seymour platform has been built with reliability, security, and scalability front of mind. This means that the culinary portal and user app not only offer significantly more than simple transaction functionality, but they do so with remarkable reliability, and perform consistently against the most stringent benchmarks. So caterers can roll out with confidence and demonstrate impact across multiple locations.
The Results
Over 40 months of operation, working with three different caterers, servicing 9 distinct clients with different needs, with more than 75,000 orders completed, the Seymour platform achieved outstanding results.
We define downtime as a single second of app functionality being unavailable to our users or a single second of the culinary portal being unavailable to our caterers. This is not a glass-half-full situation. This is a glass full to the brim situation. 99.97% uptime.
Seymour Tech is ISO27001 certified. Our annual audits, conducted by QMS independent security auditors, have found 0 non-conformances, 0 non-compliances, major or minor, and made 0 recommendations. They did, however, make 47 positive observations. Our internal ISMS processes were signed off without corrections.
In addition to ISO27001, we also comply with the following: EU GDPR, UK ACAS, UK Cyber Essentials, The Electronic Commerce Regulations Act, and the Protection of Personal Information Act (South Africa). Among others.
The Seymour platform is multi-tenant with personal information isolation. Adding a new region, a new site, or a new delivery location is not a new project. It is a configuration change. We built rollout to be repeatable — not because we wanted to make our lives easier (though it does), but because caterers should not have to choose between scaling up and keeping things simple. On the user side we have native iOS, PWA, and web versions of our user app.
Start simple. Scale smarter.
